Thailand , the Southern Kingdom tour

Day 1 : Bangkok.

Arrival at Bangkok airport. Welcoming by your English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, optional tour on the west canals (khlongs) of Bangkok and visit to the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 : Bangkok (B, L).

Around 06.30 / 07.00 am , departure from your hotel to Damnoen Saduak's floating market, in Ratchaburi province. Trip by longtail boat along the floating fruit and flowers shops. Visit of a coconut flower sugar plant in the afternoon. Return to Bangkok and visit of the Grand Palace , the Wat Phra Kaeo (the Emerald Buddha Temple ) and the Wat Pho ( Temple of the Reclining Buddha). Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3 : Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok (B, L).

Breakfast at your hotel. Departure for Ayutthaya , second capital of Siam , after Sukhothai. Visit of the Ancient Summer Palace of the Kings of Siam at Bang Pa In. Thai lunch in a local restaurant. Visit of the historical city of Ayutthaya and the ruins of this ancient capital. Late afternoon, return to your hotel in Bangkok . Overnight at your hotel.

Day 4 : Bangkok - Suratthani (B, L).

Buffet-breakfast at your hotel. Departure for a visit to an authentic jewel of Thai residential and interior architecture : the Jim Thompson's house. He was an American industrial and silk entrepreneur who chose to live in Bangkok rather than New York . Visit of an ancient teak Palace, the Vimanmek Mansion . Afternoon at leisure. Later, transfer to the railway station and departure for Suratthani. Overnight in the train (second class sleeping berth).

Day 5 : Surrathani - Khao Sok (B, L, D).

Departure from Suratthani by private car with English speaking guide, in direction of Khao Sok. Visit of Chao Lan Lake on a longtail boat. This artificial lake provides fresh water to the area during dry season. You will be charmed by the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. Swimming in the lake. After lunch in a local restaurant, departure for Khao Sok. Your hotel is a typical Thai cottage resort. Free time, dinner and overnight in Khao Sok.

Day 6 : Khao Sok - Phang Nga bay - Phuket (B, L).

After breakfast, trekking in the jungle and discovery of the surrounding fauna and flora (with a little luck, you will see some of the jungle's inhabitants). Late morning, departure for Phang Nga. Discover the mysteries of its bay. Cave and lagoon exploring by longtail boat. Lunch and departure for Phuket. Transfer to your hotel. Free time and overnight in Phuket.

Day 7 : Phuket (B).

After breakfast, day at leisure or optional excursions. Overnight in your hotel.

Day 8 : Phuket - Bangkok (B).

Day at leisure until your transfer to Phuket's airport for your return flight to Bangkok or possibility of extension to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui or Hua Hin.
